I Should Cocoa: The Perfect Hot Chocolate

Hot chocolate is the ultimate comfort drink. Warm, sugary and full of goodness, it is the perfect accompaniment to a good film, or to warm up the body after a walk in cold weather! We at Vanish wanted to pass on our simplest hot chocolate recipe not out of a pot, and we want you to give it a go!

Hot chocolate recipes are easy, so it won’t take you long until you’ve got the perfect hot chocolate.

• 2 Pints of milk
• 150g plain chocolate, chopped into pieces
  (choosing the right chocolate here can make all the difference, so experiment to find the right percentage of coca solids for you)
• Sugar, to sweeten

• Whipped Cream
• Marshmallows
• Grated Chocolate

Step 1: Heat the milk in a saucepan until it boils

Step 2: Remove the pan from the heat and add the broken up chocolate, stirring until the chocolate fully melts.

Step 3: With a whisk, stir the hot chocolate thoroughly until it’s frothy.

Step 4: Add sugar, and keep tasting to make sure it’s to your liking. Then, serve.

Optional step 5: Decorate your hot chocolate with whipped cream, mini marshmallows and more!

So, you’ve made your hot chocolate: easy, wasn’t it?

While it may be easy to make, it is quite difficult to get out of clothes. Chocolate contains oils and fats which makes it difficult to get out without a stain remover to break down these proteins. Fortunately Vanish Oxi Action Gel is the most effective way to remove stains. Here’s the stain removal process for hot chocolate:

1. Don’t let the stain dry! It becomes trickier to remove once it has dried out. Keep it moist by dabbing it with cloth or wet paper towel.
2. Pre-treat the stain with Vanish Oxi Action Gel, using 20ml over the stain.
3. Leave it for ten minutes, then put the garment into the wash with your usual detergent. There, all done!

So with that knowledge in mind, you can now enjoy hot chocolate every day!

1. Pass a vacuum over the mattress to get rid of any dust.
2. Before use, shake the Oxi Action Carpet & Upholstery Vacuum Up Powder bag thoroughly to maximize product coverage. Pull the sealing strips from the bottom of the pouch and remove completely.
3. Hold the bag by the handle and shake to distribute the powder evenly on the mattress. Do not add water.
4. Using a soft brush, immediately brush the Vanish Carpet Powder thoroughly into the mattress.
5. Allow the powder to work until the mattress is completely dry (approximately  20 minutes). Keep the room ventilated during drying and vacuuming.
6. Vacuum up the dried powder thoroughly.
